Fundraisers
Each year the team must raise $12,000. Half of this goes towards our registratrion fee. The other half goes towards buying materials, tools, and registration fees for other competitions.
Spaghetti Supper
Each fall the team sponsors a spaghetti supper at St. John's Church. As part of this fundraiser ads are sold on the placemat to local merchants. There is also a raffle that starts at the spaghetti supper.
Carrots
Each spring leading up to Easter the team makes carrots made of orange clear plastic wrap filled with candy and sells them. This fundraiser is designed to offset costs of staying in a hotel in Boston.
Junior Robotics Challenge
The Junior Robotics Challenge is run by the Burncoat Robotics team and most of the proceeds from running the event goes to the team. The JRC is two, one week programs over the summer at WPI where students learn to build and program small robots.
